The family puffers is answered in all conditions of water

(freshwater-brackish-saltwater) and in enough regions of planet.

At my opinion she is a very interesting family of

fishes with various colours and behaviors All of non excluded gender and region

they are hunters  And in the majority hunters that make the life difficult in others fishes

in Aquarium . Can also this be one from the reasons that

At least in Greece where I remain they are not by no means popular.

A other reason is also that the many species have not been repeated

In situation of captivity with the exception of few cases.

Many aquarist  him use provisionally when they have problem with

Snails of one and for puffer are a delicacy and essential

component in their diet. I keep for enough time 7 species from family

in three Reservoirs One of brackish capacity of 200L

with (Tetraodon biocellatus-Tetraodon nigroviridis-Tetraodon fluviatus-Takifugu ocellatus)

Freshwater 100L with (carinotetraodon lortedi-Dwarf puffers)

two from very little species. That is separated the genetic friend and has been repeated

in the captivity Something that I hope to accomplish also i sometimes.

If you want something different a fish with personality and where

Recognizes householder then the family puffer has to you it presents

abundance from pleasant and curious personalities for all types of

Water. Below I present somebody from most popular species the family puffers.

Name:Tetraodon biocellatus-Figure 8 puffer

The Figure 8 Pufferfish is my favorite puffer!I' have 6 thems for about 7 months and feel that they are the gread fish. I keep thems in a 80l tank. They are a FRESHWATER puffer not brackish. Though they can live happily in brackish as well as fresh. They are fun to watch, buzzing around the tank !!! They are easy to feed, and take to anything live or frozen readily but I don't recommend keeping thems with just anyone.
